General Assembly (Beginner-Double Delegation):The DISEC committee will be the largest committee at this conference. It is ideal for beginner delegates to get their feet wet in public speaking, diplomacy, and networking. It will be moderated with strict parliamentary procedures with help from the TCNJ staff. Delegates will learn how a Model U.N. Conference works, how to effectively debate, and form resolutions.
ECOSOC (Intermediate-Single Delegation):This intermediate committee is for students who have a general idea of the structure of a Model United Nations Conference. Delegates will be in a smaller committee with debate focused on the intricacies of topics and policies. Furthermore, delegations will learn how to compromise and stay on policy in a committee filled with specific agendas and details.
Specialized Agencies (Advanced-Single Delegation):The Security Council will be one of the top crisis committees featured at NJMUN. This committee is designed for advanced delegates who have an understanding of how to effectively debate and progress committee. Delegates will be in a small setting requiring a constant need for enthusiasm and scrutiny. Students will learn how to push personal agendas while staying on policy and gaining an enhanced understanding of internal orders and directives. JCC: The Future of Colombia: Delegates will be required to portray personalities and debate in the mind set of that character. There will be constant interaction between both cabinets which will help develop their ability to effectively manage and create dialogue. Crisis updates will be dispersed sporadically throughout debate to test delegates on their ability to overcome obstacles and to creatively seek solutions.
